Another attempt at painting HR Geiger Style. Sold on Ebay painted by EB. If seen in bright light the true colors show best All of the blacks are really blues. Check out this link for more photos http://www.warpainters.com/darkeldar_Drazhar_EB3.html

To repeat what Vincegamer said, its Giger not Geiger.... its pronounced Gig (as in a concert) Ger (as in Grrrr I'm going to kill you). Interesting mini, I love that you tried to go with Giger style... I am still waiting to see 'nids done well in a Gigeresque style.

There's something about the facemask that intrigues me. If the skulls on the blades were done in the same style, I'd probably bump this up a point. The base is simple and effective. The actual blades of the swords could use some type of highlighting. As for Geiger, he has a huge phalic obsession. The only times I can remember not seeing a hidden phalus, is usually when he puts babies in his work. Besides that point, he's a very dark artist that rarely uses bright colors.

You made me go look up Giger on the web so I could comment intelligently. The piece looks good, though to me a bit more "predator" than "alien" except possibly from the side. (nice web gallery btw) As to shine: all I found on the web in sculpture was shiny because it was polished aluminum - except one "rusted" finish sculpt. He doesn't seem to paint his sculptures. His paintings don't seem that shiny to me, and I saw only a couple of things that could be phalic and only because I was looking for it (alien head). Some of what looks "phalic" is actually supposed to suggest bullets - you tell me if bullets are phalic symbols.... Warpainters, no reason to be so hostile. and it's spelled Giger.
