Word Bearer force captain

This is my word bearer army leader. So far as of Dec. 26 it is the only unit in my force. If you could show me the areas I need to work on and give constructive critisism that would be greatly appreciated. Basically for this mini i took the spiky headress thing from the terminator sprue, chopped off the bottom shaft thingy and top spike so I could add a sword and glue the thing to his hand, which I took from the assault marine sprue's sergeant sword arm. I added a little greenstuff to a head from the assault marines sprue to make it look more chaossy. The bolt pistol has been worked on with greenstuff too. I need some good tips for getting that sort of palish grey look on my mutated pats for this guy thanks.

Overall not bad for the first mini ;) in your army BUT you should've started with the troops to get some more practice - also I recommend using more water and many layers of paint - tkae your time when painting , don't rush - use a well topped brush that you feel good with - try to make as many layers as long as you have patience. When you take paint on your brush wipe it delicate on a paper tissue - just to remove the amount that is too much. Before painting be shure that there aren't any mold lines on your model ;)
