Zombie Spawn Card Ratio

The mailman dropped by yesterday with a large box and sure enough I finally received Season 2 in all its glory. I then proceeded to unbox everything and soon discovered that when I combined all the Zombie Spawn cards from Season 1 (box + KS bonus), TCM, Season 2 (box + KS bonus), and Zombie Dogz... I had a lot of cards.

As the ratio of "Standard" Zombie Spawn appears to be significantly higher than the number of Toxic, Berserker, or Zombie Dog cards should the ratio be adjusted? Or simply, should I remove/reduce the number of "Standard" Zombie Spawn cards to balance out against the other cards, or is that ratio accurate? Are the other zombie types supposed to be very uncommon?

Also, I haven't had a chance to read the missions, but I'm curious whether the zombie types are specific to missions. Are there missions where players only spawn Standard and Toxic zombies?

I also assume Zombie Dogz, as an expansion, may be included in any mission where players want an additional challenge. Just like how I yanked all the blue-level Abomination spawn cards (because our group hates them appearing at Blue threat level, but that's our house rule).

Lastly, as I recall, do only Standard zombies spawn from manholes?

Currently I have decided to go with 68 Standard zombie spawn cards, to mirror the 13 or so Toxic Zombie cards for a ratio of 1:4 (or 1 Toxic card for every 4 Standard cards). I also kept the ratio of extra activation and sewer "pop-up" cards to 1:2 (i.e. removing 2 Walker zombie extra activation cards, but keeping 4 cards). Then I opted to remove 1/3 of the 12 Zombie Dog spawn cards. Also, I kept one of every Abomination threat-level spawn, except Blue (for the Standard zombies). I haven't gotten around to counting the Berserker spawn cards yet, so the ratio may change for Prison Outbreak missions. If anyone else has tried to mix-match or use all the cards, let me know how their mission(s) turned out. For us M01 was fun and as "Easy" as advertised. Although it had an epic finish with 6 Zombie Dogz one zone away just as the last car escaped.

I understand there to be 12 Beserker spawn cards in PO, and that the numbers and types (walker/runner/fatty/abom) of zombie they spawn are the exact same as the 12 Toxic spawn cards in TCM, they just spawn Beserkers instead of Toxics.

It's a neat way of doing it.

Also, the main bulk of the 'traditional' spawn cards in PO match those in Season 1 almost exactly too, apparently (though I understand there to be a couple that are slightly different (which cards spawn Aboms is slightly different, I believe)).

Hmmm. So if Prison Outbreak, which has Berserker zombies AND Standard zombies, is meant to be a stand alone game then it begs to reason that the ratio between these two types of zombie cards is the correct ratio. I mean, if you only purchased Prison Outbreak off the shelf and mixed the cards together that's all you would have to play with and I assume you would play using every card.

Now I've already mixed all my cards together, but by any chance does anyone know how many Standard zombie cards came with Prison Outbreak?

If you lean over your couch, pick up that open rule book, and turn to page 4, you'll see that there are 42 zombie cards in total, and even what their card numbers are... ;)
