He only made it into the wip thread once, but here is my latest finished mini. Only took me a month instead of a year this time. ;)

Tried to push contrast a little more on this one. Also exercised my feeble freehand skills.

For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to completely change the way I did gold NMM halfway through the figure. So the hilt of the dagger on his belt is my \'old way\' and the hilt of the sword and the shield design are the \'new way\' (basically, using only Vallejo GoldBrown and white). I think I could make that work, but I definitely need more time with it to get used to it. Still, I think it turned out not *too* shabbily. I\'m going to try to work with it more on one of my current wip pieces and see how it goes.

Base is fairly simple with a rock and a speckled red mushroom for a little variety. :)

Interesting sculpt - some of the damage on the shield is sculpted in and some is painted only. He has a very interesting face - the way his chin juts out in particular I really liked. Very Sgt. Slaughterish. :)

Anyway, that\'s him. Fire away!

Stunning blues!

It has a real \'World of Warcraft\' look to it, but in terms of paint and in terms of sculpt.

I like him overall. Probably about an 8 from me. The only real crticism I\'d have is that I\'m not overly convinced by the NMM gold in either case, though if I were to choose one, I like the work on the dagger better. I think the problem is contrast on the shadow end of the spectrum. It may need a deeper brownish in the shadows.

All in all though, very nice work and I agree that it has a rather WoW-ish feel to it. Good work.

Looking good! The thing I would do is to increase the saturation of the gold to better complement the blue as it is very vibrant and almost overpowering at the moment. I think the nmm of the sword is very convincing but the rest is a bit lacking in contrast as mentioned earlier. Too much midtones and more shadows! Nice to see some more miniatures by you! :)
