WoW Bloods Elves- Dark Elves

I\'m totally into World of Warcraft because of the release of the trading card game. And if your biggest hobbies are miniature painting and trading card games, you want to mix them.

Here is the idea:

I want to paint Dark Elves Black Guard as WoW blood elves. The colours would be based on this image:

Because I don\'t play the online game, and perhaps some of you do, do you have more good images of Blood elves, and what do you think of my idea? Also, should I go for green or gold weapons?

Well the spiky nature of Dark Elves seems to match the Blood Elves well. I\'d like to see a Witch Elf painted that way.

My advice: nab a couple Dark Elf models (eBay?) and give it a shot. For the love of all that is reasonably priced, do not run out and spend $500 on DE models this weekend.

For the green weapons, try the very lightest of greens on the edges and white near the middle of the blades. They would make good OSL candidates, I\'d say.

Last question: was your combination of forum name and avatar a choice or coincidence? All I can think is \"Sauron needs an orthodontist.\"

Edit: Are you planning on sculpting the enormous WoW elf ears?

Well the Sauron thing is coincidence, I didn\'t even realised it until you said it!

about the ears: I don\'t know, I never sculpted anything...

Don\'t worry about the money, I\'m only gonna buy the Black Guard box!

I\'ve seen it done for Night Elves. There\'s a series of these on CMON. Warhammer Dark Elves converted and painted as Night Elves. It looks rather cool. To really pull off the look though you need to make all the ears longer.

Personally I can\'t stand the Blood Elves, but to each their own.
