Be harsh, I\'m trying to be good and I don\'t feel like it yet

best advice for keeping your layers smooth is to have thin paints and a *lot* of patience. which is why i paint like a blind chimp! sometimes a wash or two can bring two shades closer together

When I apply a lot of water (yes after wiping, runny is not the problem) the color looks leafy and ununified. There are places that let\'s say I took bleached bone for example, if I blend with very thin layers it doesn\'t catch some parts and the brown underneath still shows.

I paint my thumb.
I had that problem when I started to increase my dilution rates, I think there is still excess water on the brush, which causes the pigments to travel and gather in blotches.
I found by wiping more of the brush, it deposed a layer of pigment at the right density, but I need more passages.
Before blending you\'ll need to control the flow and opacity, this really happens between you and the brush.
