Hiya guys, ive started a vostroyan trooper, I am testing a few techniques, i will try and have a few pictures up ASAP

Well I kept my promise and the pictures have arrived, its blurry but you can still see the detail hmm, you can ask for a better picture and I will try and get one. It was taken quickly because I have homework to do

the hat looks a bit odd how are you painting it?

the face looks good but there may be a bit to much of a differance between the dark and light.i GENERALLY LIKE A BROWNY PINKY MIX FOR MY BASECOATE.

The contrast between light and dark isnt that bad in real life, the hat is a russian style or Eastern European or something, its Bleached Bone second layer over Bestial Brown

i didnt notice in the 1st post but does his hat have some kida metal strip on??

if so id paint it gold

Yes he does this is still work in progress, I dont actually play WH40k so I have absolutely no idea what it is

The face is the only thing pretty much finished i have yet to finish the Hat and the NMM, which you cant see in the picture

That i think should be the realworld equivelent to that so i tried to base the painitng of it around that

More stuff to do on him but i really like the pose

The reason of the unpainted fixings is that the model will fit better without it

And some more progress on my Vostroyan, i havent done alot of NMM before so constructive critisicm welcome

Your paint looks like it may be a little too watery, and the NMM would look better with more dramatic highlights. Try painting white at the very edges and dark paint for the most part.

Thank you for your comment it is greatly appreciated and i have taken action on the wierd NMM i changed according to what you have told me and i think it looks much better. :] The Slann hasent been touched for a while now so i have to get back to painting him, but I will finish the Vostroyan and Warchief First. I havent had much experience in NMM so any advice is good advice for me
