WIP - Skarsnik and Gobbla

This is what I have so far. This is my second mini in about 8-10 years or so. I have just gotten back into painting and war gaming.

This is what I feel so far...

I need to work on my cleaning and filling a bit.

I also need to make sure the brush is a bit more dry in some areas before I put the brush down. Some of it pooled and blotched up, but then I think I did a good job on the subtle transition between the lips and body and some of the highlights on the upper thigh.

looks pretty good. What colors have you planned for the back/scales?

Wow, nice big pic I like the washed out colour - assume you are going to add more depth of colour with shading and highlights?

It looks like you started to fill in the join for his back leg - I hope you are going to finish it, (or take off what you have done) - but don\'t leave it half done

I like the mouth area, maybe you could continue the pink colour you used for the gums slightly onto the lips. All in all, a good start, grats!

@ Manus - I did the backscales a dark orange/rust color. I need to take another picture but my camera ran out of batteries.


@tooshy - I need to work on them a bit, I think I am rushing a little to get things done and not taking the proper care that I should. I do need to finish the leg joint, I am horrible with GS though. I was going to go a bit pink on the lips...
