#on the advice of other forumites I've decided to opo up a Wip thread in the interestes of ganering advice and improving my paint.

I've chose a very simple mini to begin with, let's see how this goes.

Worked on skin only so far, some smoothing needed, some bright point highlight needed.

That's what I see.

What do you see?

please bear in mind, I know some of it looks ugly, but he is very small, about 1/2 an inch tall :)

I've always thought that it's tough to pull off goblin skin without it ending up looking like a vegetable...lol

I'd suggest trying a warm colored wash (maybe a purpley red) over some of the skin areas to help it look more alive. This would have to be very thin, obviously, so it doesn't mask any colors below it...I think if you could just give it a hint of color.

Dont forget to Define the lips, get a nice contrast with his teeth and mouth area, I've found it gives monsters alot of their personality because they are such large exaggerated features.

And I always assumed Orcs and Goblins photosynthesized anyway, allowed me to forgive their animosity and fighting over the best sunlight.
