Willpower attacks clarifications

Hi guys,

Yesterday we played a little game with my friends, and in their game of Hadross VS Nasier we ran into a little predicament. So I'm putting it here for answers !

A. A Willpower attack like Resonating destruction from Deepman Kaxes, causes 1 Will Attack, one success means 1 damage, so it goes through resilience (as it is one damage and not one hit).

B. What about Act with certainty ? It says if you receive damage from an attack that did not generate an overpower result. Will Attacks ignore defensive chart so no overpower can be generated. does it works or not ? by wording, nothing seems to impede it.

C. A Will Attack will negates any reaction or training or else that affect specific results of the defensive chart (like counter attack, sidestep etc) but what about evasion / precision / offensive expertise / defensive expertise ? those modify the dice results or give re-rolls on dice of an attack, as no mention of type is listed, does it work for Will Attack too ? it seems a little weird (I'm evading a will attack, yiiiiiha).

Bonus questions : those are not really about willpower but more about the game

D. the deepen have defensive expertise X, where X is the number of enemies it is engaging. so if it is engaged with 2 enemies, if those enemies combine their attack, they end up having Defensive expertise 2, but if they don't combine, they will have defensive expertise 2 for each attack (given they still are in contact etc) ?

A: yes, in this case, a success = 1 damage, and damage goes straight to HP and is not affected by resilience.

B: You would get AwC, you were killed by an attack that did not result in an overpower result, therefore you can get your final strike. The fact that will attacks ignore the chart can be both a blessing and a curse.

C: You would still get those reroll and adjustment abilities. Their rules do not specify that you adjust where the attack hits the chart, just that you can modify the dice before the results of the attack is decided. What the target uses as its defense against the attack makes not difference. Makes the DanceMasters Come hither a bit better too.

Bonus: Yes, but remember that you can only reroll a die once, so if I throw a 1 die attack at you, you can have Defensive Expertise 1 or 1000, you still can only reroll it once.

Thanks for clarifying this. It was our interpretation but we wanted to be as clear as possible.

So will attacks are good but they're not almighty either.
