Evening chaps (and chappesses)

I\'m trying to paint a space mairne medic, and am having problems getting an even white finish. Th emodel was undercoated white, but using skull white seems to leave a lot of obvious brush strokes.

does anyone have an tips to get around this?

thanks

Thin layers is the way to go. And one thing especially with white is to be absolutely sure that the first level is dried before the next is applied

Good tutorial: http://www.brushthralls.com/White/index.php

I struggled with this for a long time, but finally found the answer when I switched to painting by starting with a dark undercoat and layering up.

I now do white by using some GW Grey Colour (No clue it\'s one from the old Creature Paint set, Graveyard grey or something, they didn\'t have names on the bottles when I bought it) then adding white to the mix and layering on highlights. The final stage is totally skull white (they haven\'t changed the name on that one).
