Where are the online players??

I have been wanting to try out the multiplayer function on this game but every time I try to either join one or create one there is no one else around..

We need to remedy this!!

I was online for a 2 player game. We crashed out after a few minutes. The multiplayer UI either needs some tweaking or a separate tutorial.
