What is this?

I am starting a new mini a friend of mine gave me as a present, but I don\'t know what it is. I would really appreciate if you could help me identify it and maybe find some reference pictures.

It seems to be like a mechanical-zombie-half-naked girl...

She is Sevora a 54mm scale Death Cult assasin from GW\'s Inquisitor range. She is also notorious for being mistaken for her twin sister, Severina (I still forget who is who).

It\'s a bit of a pain to asemble so you should consider yourself lucky to receive it assembled and undercoated. :D It\'s a very nice mini to paint. For me it was a nice break from 28mm minis. In case you want to look at my version she\'s here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/189400

And here\'s her sister: http://www.coolminiornot.com/189398

Well, Brother Captain, that helps a lot. Sometimes it is very hard for me to know how to paint the back of GW minis... They never put a reference picture of that.

Is that a glossy varnish on the black and red areas? Maybe I could use my gloss enamel here...

Well this mini is part of their specialist games range so we\'re lucky to get evn one reference picture. lol Though they may have had some more pics on the box the miniature came with. I can\'t check right now as both the mini and the box is about 2500km away from my curent location. Oh and there was a guy at GW who didn\'t paint the backs of his figs. Can\'t remember who he was though.

For the gloss you can either use gloss paint or spray the mini with a gloss varnish at the end. Gloss varnish has the added benefit of acting as a protective coat for the paint. For my version of the mini I painted it with acrylics and washes, sprayed it with gloss varnish and then hand-painted the base with a mat varnish.

I\'m looking forward to seing your version.
