On my bretonnian sorerceress I took notice where the skin should be pressed against the material and I just mixed the colour of the dress with skin colour and painted the effect with very thin glazes. I added more and more skincolour and settled when it looked sheer.

If you want a wet effect I suggest you go further with almost pure skin colour at the end. If you make mistakes.. or make it look too harsh add more of the dress colour (or whatever cloth) and re-apply it to smooth it out. It\'s important to paint the folds where the dress does not touch the skin with the colour of the dress. And with a wet look you should take care in which colours you choose so that it looks like a damp shirt or dress. It could be an idea to use a gloss warnish or \"water effects\" to produce drops of water dripping from the cloth.

This is a good tutorial for large scales, not sure how it would work on smaller scale, but just for reference: http://codyscoop.com/ht-rei.html

Sheer effect..

I think that this question is a good question to ask regardless of whether or not it\'s been asked before in the past. People may have different ways of doing this technique, so it\'s good to ask for some fresh (not stagnent) advice from time to time.

Unfortunately, I think while Chrispy\'s article provides you with the correct theory he doesn\'t really achieve convincing \"sheer\" results. Sorry Chrispy! Still a very c00l and informative article!

Sorry boon119, I\'ve never done this technique before so I can\'t give you any tips. But, like you I\'d love to know more about this technique.

Cheers!

I thought you would be smart enough to type painting tutorial behind wet t-shirt. Or try another name way of saying it.Transparent or sheer would help. lol

But atleast you had fun, or you wouldn\'t have stayed for two hours.;)
