Wet Pallet update

Hi, I have been struggling to find something that works for me. Tried wet pallet on left, Handy pallette or something, poorly made, warped, all paint leaks to edges but liked working time and consistancy, when paint didn't run together or run off the edge. Porcelain daisy, middle, very nice but paint dries too fast and unable to maintain consistancy with color or shading, apologies to anyone who uses these successfully, found the clear plastic box at right at place called the "Container Store" while shopping with my wife. container is approx 2 in (50.8 mm)square by 3/4 (19 mm) in high and the inside is approx .820 in square approx 51/64 in or 2.82 mm. Cost is 69 cents (american) each. Container top is friction fit, so pretty much air tight. Cut up my sponges and paper for the crappy handy palette and fitted them to my new wet pallette, looking forward to my new attempt at a decent mini. Hope this helps, Best of luck, Flashmanfe

You can make a home version of a wet palette for so little I think they're really a no-brainer compared to any of the commercial types.

After you've used up the stuff from the commercial one all you need to do is find something to work as a reservoir (kitchen paper will do) and the membrane paper (baking parchment, vellum, tracing paper) and you're good to go.
