Weapon changing ?

The painting looks nice. I wish my marines looked as good. The only complaint I have is that the faces in the squad look eerily similar. Is this BT fluff or something? I was going to complain about the lack of bases until I read the entry. Make sure you post some pics after they are based to the winner\'s specs.

In gaming terms, I don\'t know how useful it is, but it\'s certainly a selling feature for BT players who want to kit their neophytes out differently. If you\'re painting them to sell and that\'s what your customers want, well then there ya go.

All heads are from the Scout box. I have even do them little face lifting shaving their muscles on the teeth a little because they look like Guberminators :D

I have officially learned a new word. lol

Maybe a little more variation in hair color or skin tone would differentiate them better. The similarity is probably exaggerated by the photo.

Nice work..As long as the pins keep a firm grip after multiple uses this is a cool idea allowing people to use different weapon fits for different jobs on the tabletop without having to buy a new kit..
I did someting similar with a carnifex with magnets..
Good work and good luck on auction

I agree that the magnets would work better but then I blue tack shields on if the are optional. I like the idea but I would have based them before hand. Most people who would buy minis probably have a heap of different bases anyway.

Good luck, did the vote thing.

I agree - good painting - and the pins are a good idea.

I currently have a commission WIP using magnets.

As regards the heads there are a few ways variation could be added:

Skin tone
Hair colour
Scarring/injury
Bionics

And of course, you don\'t HAVE to use scout heads - any bare heads would have done :)

I didn\'t have any spare heads that could fit the scouts climat :/
and ok ok , I could do them better :D
At the beginnig I have tried magnets to but smalest I have are 4mm squares and were too big. to fit in the arms they should be max 2mm :/

Never thought to do that with pins. I\'ve done the magnet thing too though. Had a Mordheim undead set and used the magnets to allow the Vampire to switch from halberd to sword. I\'ve begun using a bit of magnetic metal though and one magnet, rather than two magnets, so that I could adjust the position of the hand a little better. Nice idea!

By the way, it\'s \"latest\" not \"last\". Although I suppose it\'s technically correct to say \"last\", you\'ll get less funny looks etc. if you say \"latest\" when describing the last thing you\'ve done (oh god im confusing myself now arggh)
