Water staining airbrushed coat

Hello!

I have noticed recently that if water hits an airbrushed model, it leaves permanent stains. Like little rings, similar to the tidemarks you get when working with oils and enamels. Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks in advance!

I am pretty sure it is hitting the mini after.

I have two moisture traps and I have never noticed water coming out when I'm painting.

Water had to hit the paint while the paint was wet. That or it had more than water in it? (wash, brush cleaner, etc)

I had similar experience, when i clean my brushes in water. Now, after airbrushing i secure my miniatures with gloss varnish. Its a good tip for future. After you finish your model, you can apply matt or satin varnish. Always secure your miniatures by piece of cloth or somethink like this. These water stains are hard to remove and the best way is prime it again/repaint (unfortunately). Now, paint from airbrush is melted by water on these spots. Its just new experience for you ;) Good luck!
