water effects.how to use it.

ive bought vallejo water effects.problem is it is not drying clear.it still has a milk color.now i was wondering how to make it dry clear so you can see thru it.any help please.

if you look in the painting section and the sticky you will find links to loads of discusions on this I have not used it but believe you have to do it in lots of thin layers.

That\'s what I would suggest... most of these products can only handle about 1/8\" or 3mm layers at a time or else they don\'t fully dry on the inside. Annoying, but some people still prefer this stuff to two-part epoxy/resin water effects.

Woodland Scenic water effects does require small amounts of the liquid to be used at any one time. As said approximatley 1/8th of an inch per session.
Allow 24 hours minimum to dry on a clean and flat surface. (Longer if it\'s rainy).
Also please remember that Cork and Cork Tiles suck up Water Effects like theres no tomorrow. :rolleyes:

I find it easiest to apply dripped in carefully via a Coffee stirrer stick. (Bar Stucks?)

If you\'ve put it on thick it will dry clear, eventually, I\'ve made some thickish wave shapes with the thickest parts taking 7-14 days to go clear
just be patient it all goes clear eventually
