Hey,

Is it just me or have the Avatars dissapeared, i can\'t see anyones Avatar, only mine.

I am also having trouble changing it...

They got kinda wiped out when the site got updated, no biggie, i think people just have to re-upload them.

There\'s a post about this from Chern An in the Feedback thread. He did a rehaul of all the user accounts and changed some user names with problematic characters in them, among other things. That\'s why \'E-Arkham\' is now called \'EArkham\', \'Alexi_Z\' now called \'Alexi Z\' etc. In this process all avatars got cancelled.

Apparently some characters in user names caused problems with some functions on the site, such as PMs.

I was thinking just for fun allowing bigger avatars in the forums and having the current ones we have now as thumbnails of the large ones... it\'s not that much harder to do, just wondering if I should bother.

All the sites I visit where there seems to be no limit on avatars and sigs end up looking really crap.

I would also be dubious about anything that makes the pages load slower...

Got to agree there.

I \'cheat\' and use CMon as a test for internet connectivity for work as it\'s image production is large and that\'s always a good indicator of the connection speed.

However the amount of heavy pictures/images in the Signatures must be really hacking off people on dial up, because even on 44Mb (yes 44Mb, not a typo) feed there are times when the forums are really slow to load.
