Warning: Avoid brushes from Games and Gears

This past Gencon I purchased one of the limited Gencon breakdown brushes (where the brush stores in the handle). The brush would not hold a point, splayed out everywhere, and is barley serviceable as a dry brush. When I contacted the company, they did not respond. The funny part is they gave out free brushes at the paint and take that were Synthetic. These brushes held up better and longer.

What have been your experiences with the company? They will be at Adepticon this month, I am sorely tempted to tell them what I really think.

I absolutely love my brushes from them. The feel in my hand is wonderful and I have not had point issues yet. I am disappointed that they didn't respond, I'd try contacting again. They were finishing delivery of their kickstarter and rejected one of the items and refunded my money just recently and said that everything is in shipping for the remainder of the rewards.

I like them. I have the ones from the first kickstarter, the two ended ones, Pro I think. I now cannot paint without a two headed brush, if I use a one headed one, I keep flipping it to use the non-existent second head. So I have started chopping half the handle off my brushes and joining them to make 2 headed ones.
However, the quality is variable. But this is true of many brushes. Also, the points are not the best, so I still use other brushes for detail work. But generally happy with them for the price.
