Hello everyone.. I have a rather simple question since I don't have much experience with using magnets.
I'm trying to magnetize the bases I use with my jetbikes in W40k and I'm trying to keep the height consistent with the normal setup (i.e. just using the base right out of the box).
In everyone's experience is it better to use a magnet on both sides (i.e. embed one in the model and then glue another onto the base) or is it better to put a magnet on one side and a piece of metal (such as a screw or nail head) on the other??
In order to keep the magnets small (say 1/8 inch in this case) I thought it best to put one on each side. Also, I worry that over time the magnets will loose their strength (these are rare Earth N52) so having one on the base would at least allow me to change out the base with a new magnet leaving the model unaffected...
Thoughts?
