wargaming shows in the new york city?

I remember when there where wargaming shows in new york city so what happen because i have pick out where to go because of airfair and hotels so tell me why or what happen and i also know that the city is expensive that the city really expensive so i live here i know very well so there are other areas that i can get to so think outside the box please i even wish that GenCon would come to this area when please tell me why again?

There's a miniature show every year on Long Island. This is more focused on painting and sculpting than wargames... but there are categories for historical, fantasy, sci-fi, and vehicles. The show is held every year in Nov, a week or two before Thanksgiving (though this past years was cancelled because of the hurricane).

i allready know that because a member of this club so that i was asking is this a big show like Gencon wargaming only this want i asking about a place where there a lot of gaming companies can come that is what i am asking for?

there use to be a gen con east ages ago doent know what happened to that. Also what specifically are you looking for? Each show tends to lean to a certain nitch. some might have more historicals, others are more board game, some are more about miniature painting and others have more Larp.
