Hi Fox Painting, cheers for sharing :good:
You've posted in the forum section for showing off completed minis, plenty of opportunity for feedback & constructive critisism (& praise). It's not the Gallery where it will be rated though. Probably for the best as there are a couple of things to do before submitting your entry.
Your photos are nice & clear, I'm guessing that they haven't been cropped? Move the camera back an inch, reshoot, get the entire mini in frame for your montage's establishing shot (including base). Turn off the date imprint as it's an ugly distraction & the tag for the photo contains the date anyway (should you need the info).
Create a neat montage of shots that show off the mini, unsure? Check out The Sticky Thread of hints, tips & tutorials in the Painting & Conversions section of this forum. I use a free program for Windows called Irfanview, you just crop your images then the software can glue them together, with resizing, really quickly!
When the Picture is ready, go to the Gallery where you vote & click on the Add/Edit Pictures text on the right hand menu. Submit your montage. Don't forget to title it, check that the manufacturer drop down box is correct & don't spell things wrong! When people search you want your guy to show up!
When you submit your picture the Gallery page will load, with an address of
http://www.coolminiornot.com/238xxx style. Copy it, paste it in this thread & forum viewerrs can dash straight over to vote
Simples.
If I may be so bold, I'd like to see the lower barrel of the gun drilled (or at least a spot of black paint) but I don't play 40K so feel free to inform that this gun should have a boxed end
Secondly, a couple of washes of Baal Red, Ogryn Flesh, Devlan Mud over the Eldar blood on the base, it's very orange now. If you wanted it to look alien & is orange not red on purpose I'd suggest switching to green, lilac, blue, anything away from red to make it obvious that it's not funny looking red! Is the blood on the power claw from cutting this head off? If so make the colours match.
There's a lot of skill & effort gone into this fella & if you keep posting here (a WIP thread perhaps?) I think you'll be bouncing your Gallery scores upward with every entry. Congrats.
Cheers, B.
