A base puts the mini in context. No base is kinda like watching a movie without a soundtrack.
The single light makes the shadows very harsh. Makeing it very difficult to see any fine shading.
The right leg is completely in shadow and I can make out no details.
The left leg is missing? folded under him?
The large shoulder armor looks like black primer. There is a highlight, but it is glare from the single light.
Most people don\'t ask for votes on WIP\'s. That is what the WIP forum is for - to post them and get comments and finally finish for a votable mini.
As he sits, painting is about tabletop, but most tabletops need a base. Don\'t feel too bad, my first post scored around a 4 - and I\'d been painting for a while.
Finally, 10 hours on a mini generally gets me above a 7.
9+ minis generally have 100\'s of hours in them.
