Hi folks,
The next Visions in Putty show is firing up over at 1listsculpting. Briefly, the ViP show is an opportunity to sculpt a miniature around a loose theme. Beginners and pros alike are encouraged to take part, and there\'s often an option to have your miniature cast as part of a set of ViP pieces. (The last few haven\'t been cast, but we may have a caster this time around.)
There\'s a small fee to cover costs and mailing for the sets (though this isn\'t a for-profit venture -- more of a casting co-op). In any case, you\'re welcome to take part in the show without having your piece cast.
The current choices for a theme are as follows:
1. the not-so-ordinary artisan
2. barroom brawl!
3. Asian/Oriental
There\'s a whole lot of room for interpretation in each idea. Polls, more details on the themes, and general discussion are on the 1listsculpting site:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/1listSculpting/
More details about the Visions series of shows are at Dominic Heutelbeck\'s site:
http://miniature-painting.net/visions_index.html
And here\'s an interview I did discussing the ViP:

And this makes my 3rd post in a row mentioning 1listsculpting, for those keeping track at home. . . .
