I just wanted to get some feedback from other users of Vallejo's white surface primer applied with a brush (not with an air-brush).
When I apply the black primer with a brush, it goes on wonderfully smooth and one coat is absolutely enough. However, the white primer (at least the bottle that I have) does have one issue, that drives me mad. Because the pigment seperates quickly in the bottle from the carrier, it needs one hell of a shake before it can be used, but when I then pour it onto the palette, small air-bubbles are present in the primer and also appear on the mini when I prime. In an air-brush that's not an issue as the process of pushing the paint through with pressure reduces the bubbles and the coat goes on smoothly on the mini.
Anybody else experience the same issue? If I am not carefully blowing on the mini to get rid of the bubbles as soon as I have put the primer on, this leaves really ugly bubble marks and ruins it. Otherwise this is a bloody good primer to brush on once it has been left to cure for at least 48 hours.
Thanks for your feed-back.
