Vallejo Liquid Metals - Do they actually rust?

So I wanted to test the Vallejo Liquid Metals rusting to see what it would look like and how durable they actually are. Using Silver I just painted a flat base, let it dry, then left it submerged under water. That was about a week ago and there is no rust in sight. Anyone experienced them rusting after being put on a mini? Do they only rust in their liquid state? If that is the case, know why?

no, they don't rust after they dry and are set.
Reason from Vallejo: "we have changed the formula of our alcohol based metallics (References 70.790 to 70.797) to include an anti rust protection; once dry, the paint film is protected against oxidation and needs no further varnish."

because the film is not set in the bottle is the reason that it can rust there. +Reason(again from V) is that it's really metal (altough normal metallic paints use metal flakes too, so... sounds more like advertisment than real diference): "...this range consists of colors manufactured with actual metal particles... "

then again... the speed it dries if left open makes rusting the least of the problems :D

Thanks, I couldn't find anything on their site other than the warnings about it rusting, very good to know and makes me a lot less nervous about using these on tabletop mini's.
