Well, I had the in-hindsight-not-so-bright-idea of using Flow Aid in place of water for thinning my paints. At first I thought it was the humidity but now I am wonder/pondering if it is because I did that, that my models have a tacky feel to them. This, after painting 24 longbowmen (I'll post photos tonight most likely). The tackiness isn't too bad but I don't know what made me get this 'bright' idea after painting for over 20 years to a fairly good level using only water.
Does anyone know if this tackiness really is the likely result of using Flow Aid in place of water? I will definitely be switching back to water plus a COUPLE of drops of flow aid for my 27 Sworn Swords that are next in line. I hope that the clear coat I spray on tonight will take away the tacky feel to them, LOL
Disclaimer: I set out with the mission of doing these models quickly/easily and not to my usual top notch standards. So don't expect them to look as nice as Agis' sweet looking paint jobs.
