Ever since the Zpocalypse Kickstater started up and I saw their "defenses" miniatures, specifically barricades, I wondered what it would be like if the 2D barricade tokens in Zombicide were upgraded/replaced with similar miniatures. Personally I think that would be pretty damn awesome. What do you guys think?

As for how many...? Well it could just be a straight replace, as there are 4 barricade tokens, so there could be 4 barricade miniatures. Now the obvious problem is that barricades come in two stages, incomplete and completed. One possible solution is that the barricade tokens could be used to mark "incomplete" barricades, but once completed they would be replaced with the barricade miniature. I think that would be the simplest solution. Let me know if you think there's a better solution.

If there are miniatures for barricades, then there should be miniatures for incomplete and for complete ones. It makes no sense in my opinion to have miniatures for barricades when you still have to use the counters as well.

i see barricade as an figure, incomplete barricade as a 2d and a complete barricade as a 3D option
sure they are on both sides of the same token card

i would like this implement to the game

Yea i agree with you Mobius, having (at the least) a completed Barricade miniature would visually help everyone see that, yes theres a barricade there and that it is or is not complete especially with those massive tile games. And if its not complete just lay the barricade down, simplest way i see it

I think it would enhance MY games and a few others as well. Having 3D terrain for me adds more character to an otherwise flat piece of cardboard.

I would consider buying 3D terrain if it came up as on option over MORE survivors/Zombivors.

I'm a no - for me I want a board game with miniatures not a miniatures game played on a board. the board is cluttered enough with survivors and zombies during some games barricades (and as mentioned in other discussions doors, cars etc, etc) would be a waste for me. [Actually in hind sight if they were optional I wouldn't care too much]

Recently someone commented about requesting GG to add stand-up doors to the game, like in Descent. While on the one hand I could see some merits, in that it would look better for doors inside buildings. I'm just not sure I would want that.

However I would like to see miniatures for the barricades, and if they were optional I don't think anyone would argue against GG adding them.

Mind you if they were provided as an Option an I would prefer it was done outside of the KS.

That may work if you're in the US, but for anyone else (i.e. me, up here in Canada) I would prefer everything be packaged under a single postage fee (i.e. $35) rather than being billed twice for two different packages, even if the second fee wouldn't be as much.

Besides, for long as the barricade miniatures aren't LE, then optionals would be good during or after the KS. Better during the KS for pledgers outside the US, and completely optional for US pledgers either way.

Well, not having barricade miniatures wouldn't kill me, obviously, but I think they would be very interesting to have them included.
