Unhealthy / dead skin < help needed please >

Hi all back for more help please.

I need help with how to paint unhealthy / dead / dieing skin for my chaos gaint and other nurgle models.

I dont want it to be too green like what alot of people do, but more realistic, like a bloated corpse.

I have full paint sets of GW and VMC paints as well as a set of newton inks.

Thanks in advance for the help, the more realistic the better

some nice links there....
I always like to use GW colours.
Basecoats using Catachan Green and Graveyard earth highlighted up with Kommand Khaki.
Then use Thin Glazes of purples red and blues to build up the desired colours.

If you don\'t want green, use grey with fleshtones and wash with purple ink glazes.

Have a look at this article on Brushthralls, it\'s good for different interesting colours to get away from the green:

The best the last few pages are the best - the bile thralls and bloat thralls - but you need to read the first part to understand what he is doing with the glazes/washes.

If you have the GW paints, use graveyard earth, kommando kahki and rotting flesh with white highlighting to your taste.

I like to use a mix of rotting flesh and graveyard earth as a base, progressivley adding more rotting flesh to highlight. Then, I wash it down with a few glazes of tanned flesh to kill the green. Works pretty well, I think. I\'ll have pictures up soonish to demonstrate.

There have been quite a few threads about this, I know I\'ve posted comments on 3 of them.

But from experience I found the search to be quite.....crap. I did a search for painting metallics, and had virtually every post going, nothing to do with metallics.

Thanks for the links guys, some really good stuff and good tips.

I also have a few problems searching for links and threads, so now when a good one comes along i save it to my favorites

One of the effects I am after also is the first person killed in the film se7en, \"gluteny\", the fat guy who was made to eat until he died, I dont have a pic but remembered it looked really bloated and had veins that really popped.
