My quick opinion about the contents.

- Models are very nice. I really like the designs.
- Components overall much nice that I thought they would be.
- Cards - good card stock. Nice art
- Boards - a little warping over night due to extreme temp changes. Nice art/
- Models - Better than expected.
- The box is huge. Also the packaging is reusable. Repacks very nicely
- Great looking rule book.

I like the models are already put together but they are also based. Not sure how easy the bottoms/cracks will be to paint. Still exciting about painting these up. Should be simple and straight forward.

Overall, much better than I expected. Will be playing with my son later today!

@AJBartman, glad you're digging it. I just got a box yesterday and was really happy with how it turned out. CMoN, everyone who helped with making it and all of the backers and supporters did a really great job. Thanks again for all the support on this project and helping to make it a reality. Here's a pic I took and posted on instagram yesterday.

I suppose that even if you cut them off there is enough surface area on them to just glue back on. Or how about a bit of masking tape going around the edges to cover the holes, spray prime and paint including the top of the base?

I haven't tried the infantry yet, but the other models will pop right off the bases. You could also cut them off the base pretty easy I think. The glue they used is relatively brittle.

Received the game yesterday... the game and minis look amazing! My US general is a bit warped and won't fit in his O-tank, but other than that everything is awesome! My wife also fell in love with the game after seeing it in person.

I was at a work X-mas party when my package arrived (sat outside in 25 below weather for a couple hours). I made sure the game was completely warmed up before I removed the tiles and they did not warp. I am assuming those with warped tiles live are experiencing this ridiculously cold weather and opened them too soon. Kudos Ted on an awesome game! I seriously can't wait until wave 2 hits!! Please be sooner than late March!

One question though, the kickstarter said we would be getting 12 Union troopers, 12 Blight troopers, and 4 cavalry units for both forces... the base game comes with 9 infantry and three cavalry units for each side. Will we be receiving these other missing units with wave 2 along with our blitzkrieg 2nd set of base minis?

If I remember correctly Ted already confirmed that those will come with wave 2.

I forgot about this too... my General Patton also is a but misshapen and doesn't fit flush into the turret. All the other plugs fit great. It looks like an easy fix. I assumed mine was just a random poor cast but maybe its more of a systematic mold issue?

Mine actually sat in my warm house for at least 2 hours before I opened them and they still warped. The second set was in the shrink wrap even longer, probably 5-6 hours, and they warped.

Acclimating to an environment usually takes days not hours. If letting them acclimate is going to make a difference, 5-6 hours wouldn't be enough time.

Yup, could even be a week or 2 depending on the climate extremes and moisture content of the boards.
