Um, is this legal?

Isn\'t this a copyright infringement? I mean, most of the figures are Reaper, aren\'t they?
One of their tag lines is \"All items are hand-crafted in fine pewter.\" I can\'t find Reaper credits anywhere, and since they didn\'t actually sculpt the figures, well, this seems a bit shady.
What do you, the astute CMON community, have to say about this?

Phoenix and Reaper have a relationship going way back. They target the \"collectible figurine\" end of the market.

I seem to recall Ral Partha doing something similar with another company - Rawcliff or something like that?

Rawcliffe and Ral Partha did the same, yes. In fact if you poke around that site for Phoenix a bit you will see Rawcliffe stuff there as well.

Yeah, one of my friends pointed out that the pewter minis in a gift shop were Reapers. Clean it, assemble it, slap on some black ink and wipe off the excess. Then glue on a baubble and you\'re done. I wonder what these blokes would pay for a dragon with a nice paint job?

My dad bought me a T-Rex that was one of these deals. I have seen the same exact figure in Reaper somewhere.

My only problem was with the little shiny glass beads they stuck on his eyes to make him look....more collectable?

I peeled them off, but they must use some sort of super duper epoxy, because I can\'t get the remainder to go away. The detail of the eyes is all but ruined.

It did list the sculptors name (Jeff Wilhelm I think!!) on the bottom, which is a name I was familar with.

Still, I am going to paint it up!!!
