I think those look impressive.

A few things though:

1. Is this a finished one? I do hope you\'re going to base it, as that can complete and compliment the model. I like to apply the basing material before I undercoat it (Chaos Black spray), as this makes it easier to paint the stuff.
A hint though; if you use sand, once the PVA glue has dried, apply a layer of watered-down PVA to the sand to make sure it stays on the base (nothing looks worse than an unpainted bit on a model); it also makes it easier to paint, and looks better.

2. I noticed there are a few areas on the model that have been left black, like on the backs of the feet, the underside of the shields, etc. Whether this is unintentional or not, it can do better to paint these parts or the model may look unfinished. Believe me, I know.
If this is because you\'ve not been able to reach those areas or have difficulty painting them, it may be better, as if it\'s badly painted, it may look worse.

Apart from that, those models are quite good. They\'re better than my standard when I was new. The drybrushing (I\'m guessing it is?) has quite a nice effect.

Thumbs up mate! :D

They look fine to me. They do look a little shiny though. If you used an ink wash that will cause that. You might want to put a clear matte finish on them.

I think they look quite good. They will definately look good on the battlefield.

Some points.

First clean of all the moldlines. I know it\'s probably the most boring part of miniature painting. But it is necessary.

The drybrushing works pretty well for armies. A simple trick you might do on these ones is the ordinary GW edging. I think I see that you\'ve done some allready or perhaps it is the fact that the drybrush hits the edge more often? What you do is that you choose the placement of a general lightsource (the sun in most cases) and highlight the edges of the SM armour facing that direction. To imagine the sun being in zenith (overhead lighting) is a good idea as you don\'t have to choose another lightsource for the back of the mini. (which in reality should mean another sun.. but remember where Space Marines fight! lol) I would do it in two steps one subtle where I highlight the edges more generally as GW tend to do on their models (notice still that they do not highlight every edge). and one where I would emphasise the points that would be hit by the lightsource. You don\'t have to be so very careful when painting after the lightsource, just don\'t highlight every edge as some do. It\'s more about getting and effect pleasing to the eye than to obey the laws of physics.

You might also consider doing some layering in the future for a better finish and the ability to be more careful with the lightsource, but that will surely take more time. Drybrushing/washing/layering can be combined for pretty nice results.

There is a very good discussion on how to place more realistical highlights in the \"Miniature Light Sourceing\" link. Just ask any questions that\'s on your mind and be sure to visit the link to the older thread supplied by Einion.

Finally when you photograph, try to get more lighting on the front of the miniature. Read the article \"Photographing minis with just one lamp\" for the basic idea on simple miniature photography lighting.

Hope something helps.

*Writes Down Advice*

This is great advice
I should take some of this into account because i am no great painter

...For your marines, i like them, they are cool, but you will still need to take the advice from Avelorn and Fat Zombie (As I did lol).

:)

No they aren\'t finished so the gloss effect that the camera picked up is probably the ink,
I tried to \"fix\" one of the miniatures to reflect a little of the advice Igot,

The only one I worked on was the one with the power fist,
