Uk painting services

Hi there, I'm new here so if this is in the wrong thread, apologies. I have a vast collection of minis mostly pre-painted or bought off eBay already painted. I've got a few figures that need painting and have neither the time, inclination nor skill to paint them myself. I need a UK painter that will do a basic neat job for no more than £1-£2 per figure. I'm not looking for prizewinning jobs just nice and neat and better than I can do myself. I did find someone but have lost the link - dammit! Anyone got any good ideas?

Well to date I've found one who'll do them for £2.20 and another for £2.50. Took a lot of searching. The average seems to be anywhere between £3 to £5 which is, I think a bit much considering I can paint a figure, and do a reasonable job, from start to finish in around 30mins or so. I'm not looking for exhibition quality here, I hasten to add. Anyway, thanks for your responses guys :beerwave:

So by your logic, you want to find someone to work for £4 an hour or less? Tbh, I am surprised you could find anyone as cheap as that, it's less than most of the minimum wages

Good luck with that budget lol. Maybe try a chinese painter, that would indeed be an acceptable rate of pay to them. But not really acceptable over this neck of the woods. £1 to £2 would get you 10 minutes of my time at most, can you prep, build, prime and neatly paint a mini in 10 minutes? Thought not lol.

Well, I'm glad you found someone to paint your minis. I have only ever got the absolute best I can afford and because of that, the number of minis I own is very small indeed. This thread really does show how broad the mini hobby is. I have to admit, I initially thought your thread smelled like troll but thinking about it now, it was probably me being a bit bigoted. I could probably post on some gaming forums some (even I admit) mental prices for painting a single 28mm mini and get the members thinking I was trolling.

I bet there are simply loads of people out there who just want an army painted quickly and to a basic neat standard, it's a pity none of them posted in this thread. All the people above are really GD finalist and winner types.

malcypoos please post some links of companies you found here so maybe similar requests have something to check out.
