Troll King

This Is the idea I have for the Troll king conversion I'm going to be starting here shortly.

Thanks and yes those are mouths on the stomach and hand. In the rules he doesn't have any weapons and the pic of him shows mouths on his stomach so I thought I would take it a little further and add one to the palm of his hand.

Looking good. I say he needs some trophies, and more spikes than you have drawn on him. Maybe even some on the backs of his hands. And to get him to fit into the GW style, add a bunch of skulls. I hope you get started on him soon, I am looking for ward to seeing what you can do.

I'm going to try and put as much spikes on him as possible without making it look cluttered. I'm still trying to think about how I want to do the trophies but i'll most likely end up putting them on the spikes though.

It wouldn't hurt to use hooks and chains to attach them to his skin. Just a thought. The spikes may be too big to place skulls on, based on what I am picturing, but then you know what you are going for. Better than I do.

This is gonna be interesting. I've thought about doing Throgg myself simply to see the look of an adversary when I field an army composed completely of trolls! *evil grin*

I like the spikes! Can't help but agree with Mightychad though, more would be great. Though in moderation.

I will have more spikes just thought drawing more on the pic would make it cluttered. I will also be trying to do some trophies on the models. The only trophies I would put on the spikes is whole torsos.

I haven't gotten my Dire troll in the mail yet so here are some pics of some trolls I started that I am making into chaos trolls to go in my troll kings unit. Also they are kind of test runs for how I go about putting the noses and the ears on the troll king. The pics might be a little rough as well still trying to work on my photo taking.

Best part, IMO, is the WE Dragon tail, good stuff. The ears need a bit of sanding, but looks like a good start. I would like to see a rear shot of the slag troll, and a better view of its right hand. Now that I said "rear shot" we will see is cassar, or TBS have been looking at this thread.

Yeah some of the sculpts will be rough until I can sand them. I loved the WE Dragon tail as well when I found it in my bits bin and immediately new I wanted it on my model. I actually had forgot I had it.

I was skeptical at first to but I really wanted an exaggerated hammer because you just never see one. More updated pics Coming soon.

Here are the latest pics of the troll king and his guard. The dragon skull will serve as a weapon and a trophy rack. Let me know what you think.
