Transfers

Hi,

Need a little sage advice - am doing a cutom Marine Army for someone, and I dont have time to free hand all the frikkin insignia, so I started using transfers.

Trouble is, on the Marine shoulder pauldron, the transfers always end up lumpy with air bubles, where they dont quite fit to the curve of the shoulder pad.

Does anyone have any hints as to how to stop this happening?

you\'re going to have to get some decal setting solution, the sort aircraft and armour guys use to soften and then set the transfer on odd shaped surfaces

the chapter specific metal shoulder pads arent bad but pricey.

If you can talk your client in to it this is a good way to go. Makes it quicker, nicer and you can pick up the bits for under $1/ea.

It adds up for an army but $40 or so makes a big difference to the final product in my opinion.
