Thought i would try my hand at sculpting. Ive done (minimal) green stuff work before, and never attempted sculpting.

First impressions are, its much harder than painting lol. A piccy of my progress thus far

super sculpey and greenstuff. Was inspired by the rackham sculptors, and i have a new found respect for theur organic forms having now used the same stuff they were using.

Sculpting in this scale takes a lot of patience, and you suffer from cramp a little more, having to move just 0.000000000000001 mm per hour is tiring.

Milliput using Allan C\'s great tutorial on making weapons.

The base is shaping u nicely too, although i will keep that under wraps for now

I am starting to think about colour schemes and quite fancy experimenting with whites and electric blues, although i am undecided whether to use nmm or rmm (?) or indded whether this piece needs any metals at all (hmm totally organic....(mutters and scribbles)).

So you just mash it between two bits of glass and shape it with a dremel? That seems pretty easy.

By the way, go with the organic look. The Eldar sing their creations into being, they don\'t build them from metal.

:) you\'ve been playing too much DOW.

Eldar history has engineers using their psychic abilities to grow what they need.

The sculpt itself is finished now. So i can concentrate on getting the base to a point i am happy with. Think imight have to get oen and paper out for this one.

surely it\'s easier to use plasticard as it\'s already flat and hard?

The race has had \"Bonesingers\" since long before DoW.

indeed they did, since rogue trader ? cant recall the right issue but must be around WD 150 ish.

If i remember correctly, they formed the wraithbone using their psychic abilities which is why the path of bone singer was on the path of the seer/warlock.

i shall see if i can get more piccies together of the finished sculpt.

Excuse the rubbish pictures, I have so much more respect for sculptors now, but i don\'t think i have done too bad considering it\'s my very first total sculpt with only having done minor conversion work before. :)
