Torvosh Training vs ravenscar Inspire

Does the Training ability from Torvosh trigger when an friendly model "suffers" a hit from a resonated model. Situation. Deepman gets cast aside by an resonated Merc which engages him. With the Inspire of the mercs the Deepman "suffers" an attack a hit is rolled. The deepman let the roll reroll and it is still a hit. Now is He allowed to use Torvosh s Training? Since the Training says He can try to negate the hit with a will check if the attacker is resonated. But "suffers" means there is no real attacker.

1.) Torvoshs' training triggers when a Hit is generated by an attack from a Resonated model. In the case of the Ravenscar Sergeant's Inspire, it is generating a melee attack- this attack is not coming from the Ravenscar. So no, it would not trigger Torvoshs' training.

2.) Just to be sure, the Ravenscar is using Cast Aside, then engaging the same Deepman, thus triggering the Inspire, correct? Just want to make sure you are playing this correct, your wording is a bit ambiguous.

Torvosh would need to make a Will Check to remove 1 of the Hits. If he was successful however he wouldn't suffer any damage, as it wouldn't bypass his Resilience (assuming we're talking about only 2 Hits from a single Overpower result).
