Hi!
This is my new miniature. On this model i was testing new way of painting gold. Only for glazes I used 5 colours ( snakebite lether, bestial brown, warlock purple, battledress green ) .
I hope You like the effect, becouse i took me a lot of time.
And the head on base is sculpted, for that I used Fimo and Greenstuff. Im under impressed how good for sculpting fimo is. I never used it before.

As usual a very good job...

Top class work sir. I am painting this guys too and you've done a lovely job. Nice addition of the demon head to the base. The gold is very striking and pops really well. It certainly is the focal point of the mini. In terms of C&C I'd like to see some colour variation on the eagle. The browns are lovely but its a little one dimensional and not as striking as the rest of the paint job.

Much better than I could manage however so great job overall. Voted,

Cheers

Yep this is real top painting. Very smooth and clean.
My only crit is that it looks unfinished, I don't know why?

You do have some great stuff in your gallery, I have had a look before, but I really do like this. The gold does look a little different and therefore interesting, it is a lot warmer looking. Regarding Fimo, what Fimo did you use? Fimo Soft is no good for sculpting. There is a premo type and another one or two types as well. Also try Sculpey or Super Sculpey Firm which is very popular. Rackham sculptors used premo fimo champagne colour I think. Nevertheless, many materials take a while to get used to it.
