Toronto GT, eh?

Next weekend I will be going to Toronto with several of my friends from our local gaming store to compete in the Warhammer 40K tourney. This is my second GW tourney and I am really looking forward to it once again.

I was wondering if anyone from here will be in either tourney (Fantasy or 40K), or will anyone be competing in the Warpstone painting contest?

I\'m entering the 40k GT over here in the UK, in November, so I\'ll be franticly painting up an army for that after Golden Demon

@Braveheart712 - What army do you use?

There will be at least one I know of

There will be a guy there that please Iron Warriors Chaos Marines. He will most likly kick ass and most probably win.

It\'s a guy I used to work with at my last job, but for the life of me I can\'t remember his name... may even be on this site, though I didn\'t recogize any of his painting.

Ivor or Iver I think was his first name.

@ KingM- Last year (May, this year really due to GW redoing their schedule) I played Witch Hunters, Sisters of Battle and posted my army here. It was my first time at a GT and I placed 26 out of 50, not bad at all, but for me its all about fun. One of the guys from our club actually won with his Dark Angels drop pod army. This year 5 of us are going, one Fantasy player using his tried and true Dwarves, and the rest of us playing 40K. I will have my Iron Hands Space Marine army with me, which I have been frantically painting. All that I have left is to base my troops, I should be able to finish. I saw some very nice painting last year and was wondering if anyone was going just to look or if some of the talented painters from here had a piece or two that they were entering. Whatever happens, I am sure it will be fun again this year, and if a win a few games, that would be even better!

@Cadboy- Hopefully I will be there in 2006 too, Toronto is an awesome city and the closest GT for me to visit.

@Nauhkel- Hope to see you there!

convention centre?

naukhel - if you went to the last GD at the convention centre, you\'ll be ok. otherwise, just take the ttc to union station and follow the signs that say convention centre? dunno if that helps any.

It\'ll probably help just fine.

Now, as to whether I\'ll be able to find any of you...

To spot me, just look for the guy with the paint stains on the knees of the jeans. :)

There is this big landmark to look for called the CN Tower, kinda hard to miss, if you find that, the convention center is across the street from it.

Ok, I know where that is. Now, times... I have no idea of when it is on the weekend, having not paid any attention to the outside world for the last while. Job hunting\'s been occupying all my time.

And I have to work saturday evening.

Thanks Braveheart. Now, I\'ll be able to find it. How to identify our members, though? I\'ll be fairly easy to pick out, I think. I\'ll be wearing my painting pants, identifiable by all the brush strokes about the knees.
And a name tag, I suppose.
Either that, or I\'ll carry around a case of paints and ask everyone in a confused manner where I can find the speed painting contest... I\'ll have to leave by 2, though, if I want to get to work on time. Pity.
