That\'s an understatement! You can get like...ALOT. I mean, all you need is a hand comming out of the ground, or a mound of earth about to break open in front of a tombstone, or a head...the TK box has heads and arms for the VC and the TK so that\'s alot of extra hands, heads, tombstones.
If you really wanted to stretch it out you could do almost a whole army with one box and a tonne of extra bases. Use feet too if you want to be a real thrifty spender, feet would be good under the cracks in the earth in front of the tomb stones maybe to see the skelleton bits are comming up. Not that I\'d suggest taking it quite that far. lol It\'d be interesting to see a whole VC or TK army done this way with only the command squads or maybe not even all the command squads with the full model on the base and the rest just hands and heads. I mean, what would they say if you tried to play in GW with that? Undead are deffinately the cheapest army around though. :innocent:
That is true that you only need a few bits but I like to have at leat the front rank or middle figure in single rank unit to be whole. The next ranks or outer skellies I will do in lesser bits showing. Any raised units I do as bits coming out of the sand but at leat one full skelly armed as required. I did get 40 skellies out of a box set for my VC army.

They arent really. I meant if you really wanted to push the issue of using skelletons raising up out of the ground you could in theory get 60+ from one box of TK or VC. Which is pretty cheap, getting 3 or 4 times the number of models out of the box or in effect getting all the core for a 2000 point force in one box. You could push it really far by cutting all your skelletons off at the knees then using each foot comming out of the ground on another base, making 3 models out of the 1 model, cutting off the hand behind shields making a 4th model, this with the extra heads and hands would make 8 or 9 or more times as many models as the box intended, 16 for TK and 20 for VC. 140 skelletons would fill out the core for a huge force. But again, I wouldnt suggest pushing it quite that far. If you did, it would be darn cheap though. Can do the same thing for zombies too if you do VC.
I\'m pretty sure Glenn Lamprecht here in brisbane played for many years with various skeletons units and even wolves that are made like that. If i remember correctly he has a bucketload of \"skeletons\" that were just tomb stones. They looked good and all but he made use out of everything he could.

Im workin on a tomb king army by myself atm and let you tell 
use gamezone minis for the tomb kings. The GW tomb kings kinda crap. Ok, maybe its just me, but i really have a problem with GW tomb kings. They wont fit it for me and the gamezone minis are a way cheaper and the quality is much better.
Besides that QuietiManes advice is TEH GW OWNAGE lol
