Before I know how to wet paint, washes, eyes and expressive faces
After I know how to do beautiful miniature justice...

Hi everyone

She had been sitting on my shelf for a long time now, I finally had the courage to wash it to the metal and start anew

the color is very light as I did a grey prime instead of black, and black wash to get the details out

the red/brown part is not too well done, partly due to lack of the correct paint
the many hourglasses and watches are still not done, but this time around I can see the hands and face much better

You seem to have talent at painting faces that's for sure and I like this one. How are you doing on highlighting the black. If you are finding it hard (as I do) why not try leaving the bulk of it black but highlighting up to a colour. That can give a strange but interesting look like a black colour has worn off leaving the colour underneath showing. Highlighting with brown might give a worn leather look, I am sure another colour could look interesting too.

Thanks ^^ I spent a lot of time on the face (and boobs too : P I am a guy afterall) but not enough time on the rest of her, so I suck at painting clothings or little thingies that hang from it
will try the highlight you suggested, am going for light grey highlight then heavy washing with the bulk of it
