Tide marks when blending

Anyone else have this problem? I also get them with some washes and especially when glazing over metallics and tinting colours.
I think it might be something with the pigment consistency.
Would flow improver help?

Might be your water too - are you using tap water? If you are and the water is hard in your area that can contribute to the problem.

Sometimes this happens with me too- I\'ve found that if you notice while the paint is still wet, sometimes you can blend the mark right back in and it still looks fine.

The thing I hate most about painting. The best thing to do, as mentioned earlier, is water down the paint a bit, maybe 3 or 4 drops of water, and when you dip your brush in the paint wipe off the excess moisture on a paper towel. Matte medium also helps. I use vallejo matte medium when I paint metallics and colored areas, sometime not always, and it really helps with tide marks. Again the mixture should be diluted with water.

I had the same problem for some time. I agree with Aliengod3, once I started using some more medium and less water my results improved. I\'m using a vallejo glazing medium and occasionally mix in some flow improver or brush on sealant, but any matte medium should work.
