I\'m not so sure about that...
According to the story, she asked God to make it \'not hurt\', not to live through it.
It seems to me that she had to endure a lot of pain....

Still, yes, her survival is amazing.

I don\'t know which is more cringe-worthy, simply that she landed without her parachute opening or that she landed in a car park. The thought of hitting concrete... <shudder>

Saw a clip of a fellow who went skydiving buck nekid. Let\'s just say the wind (180mph) set up a VERY rapid resonant frequency with a certain appendage. lol

Wait... you fall from 10,000ft and only get up to 50 MPH? Something in there doesn\'t sound right... terminal velocity has to get you up over 50 MPH.

Vikie - you can see her nipples under her hands:rolleyes:

Hmmmm... all i see is,

\"A SKYDIVER who crashed 10,000ft to earth when both her chutes failed survived along with her unborn baby.\"

\"She thought she was going to die when her emergency parachute didn\'t work - a one in a million fluke - jumping over Siloam Springs, Arkansas in October.\"

\"She had heard a snap as her main chute failed to open.\"

That\'s all i can find about the \'chutes. Sounded to me like both failed completely, but i could be wrong... it\'s been known to happen. 50MPH just sounded unbelievably slow to me.

yeah weird, guess some people are just lucky.
I know about an alpinist who was taken in a snow slide, fell of the cliff, 400 meter drop and he survived. It wasn\'t the first snowslide (avalanche ?) on that spot so there was already a fair bit of snow at the bottom of the cliff. But still must be wierd falling 400 meters and getting up without even a bruise.

When i watch Fuel (Extreme Sports Channel) i like to watch the guys fall from a Helicopter on to the snow from about 50-100m in the air. But i never get to see the guys that fail to land on their feet lol

I saw the video shot from her instructor\'s helmet cam. \"Oh god oh god oh god...\" was more or less the second half of the audio. Her chute partially deployed, it was slowing her down a LOT, she was not free falling when she hit the ground.

And she was not topless... this time.

@Itchy: I thought i heard something along those lines in there. anyways, at least she had a little bit of luck.

@NSA: Where did you see that??:wow:

I had a friend who fell out of a 3rd floor window and shattered 3 vertebrae and had to have them replaced. Pretty much killed her dancing career.
I guess the trick is to land on your face.

And Nak, it is miraculous in the sense that the mechanics of it suggest she should have died or at least suffered severe organ injury. The second definition of miracle is simply something that is surprizing or amazing.
Or, if you prefer the Devil\'s Dictionary:
\"An act or event out of the order of nature and unaccountable, as beating a normal hand of four kings and an ace with four aces and a king.\"
