The Unmasked and Unleash Fury

I am curious as to if this is a typo on the card after reading about the Unmasked on the kickstarter page. Does she have Unleashed Fury or not?

a quote

"One thing to note is that, while the Unmasked truly is one of the better combat Leaders in the game she also carries the risks of Unleash Fury, so, once again, careless plays will end up only forcing a loss for both her and the Fel Hammers under her care!"

Thanks!

Looking at the card from my Fel Hammer Box and at the Unmasked entry in the hardcover rulebook, she does not have Unleash Fury or the associated Elemental Fury (which is what Unleash Fury grants if you so choose to risk damaging your unit).

However, she still has Elemental Unbound which states: "When this model is killed, all models in contact without the Fel Warrior Trait suffer a [1] die magic attack."

So, she doesn't have the ability to recklessly endanger herself at the benefit of increased movement and critical hit chance, but she still has the risk of harming any of your non-Fel Warrior units that happen to be adjacent to her if she is killed (RIP poor Ashmen honor guard).

I think they ended up changing the Fel Warriors to be less risky to themselves since their self-explosion ability specifically says it doesn't affect units with the Fel Warrior Trait.

However, there is a typo on the printed card and in the rulebook. Her Master of Deception ability states: "The first time each turn this model becomes engaged with an enemy, it may may..." Just wanted to point that out :bye:

I have a question about the Master of Deception ability. The ability reads "The first time each turn this model becomes engaged with an enemy, it may [make] a Will Check(1). On 1 or more successes place this model anywhere within 3”."

Since players take alternating turns does that mean (with good placing, and good rolling) she is basically untouchable to melee?

Except against combined activations, then you can only do it the first time, and hope that the move can carry you into a position where the followup moves cannot reach you, as those moves are all part of the same turn...

You could also move to engae, then when she moves out of base you could use a sprint action to engage her again that turn. You won't get the strike but you can slow her down
