The loss of a great hobbyist

I know this doesn't belong here, but as she spent so much time in this forum I felt it was the best place for it. But Kathryn Loch passed away last week, and her family posted a bit up on Facebook. I just thought that this should of be posted here since so many of us knew her, at least in the realm of painting.

So sad to hear this as she was a damn fine painter. She got me into the model horse showing scene too and I owe her alot for that alone. :'(

I know this doesn't belong here....

YES IT DOES!

Kathryn was a well liked and respected member of this community.
While she hadn't been active on here for a while, she would have been as welcome here as if she'd never gone.

We had a great Google Hangout a couple of years ago, I just wish we'd had more.

I offer my condolences to her family.

Really sad news... I was always expecting to see her coming back to this forum. Seems it will never happen, so sorry to hear that...

Condolences to the family.

Almost Perftec! Aw, crap.
She welcomed me here as quickly as any and made me feel like one of the gang right away. I will miss her sense of humor, hobby advice and basic good nature. Heaven has a great writer and painter working with them now so I expect to see some big miracles in years to come :)

very sad to read that. She was always super nice here, and very helpful and welcoming to everyone. She was always so willing to share her knowledge of pigments with folks.

This is very sad. I too always wait for her to pop back in for a visit. She was a great asset to our hobby and this forum. Her encouragement when I started posting here will never be forgotten.

Thanks for for giving us the heads up Chad.
