The time has come to announce our first ever contest - to mark our launch and celebrate two successful months of being live! Please make sure you understand these guidelines before entering.
The Theme
The theme for the first contest is Film Scene. It can be any film, using miniatures from any company � or indeed scratch builts. We are hoping to see some imagination to fly with such a wide scope to play with.
- You entry may include 1 or more miniatures � it is totally up to you.
- You may only enter once.
One Entry � Two Categories
You are required to submit only one entry for the competition, however each entry is entered into both categories of the competition. The contest is split into Painting and Modelling.
Therefore unpainted photos of the entry will be just as important as painted ones!
Separate winners and prizes will be awarded for each category.
The Time Frame
The competition is open to entries as of now. The deadline for submissions is Saturday April 1st 2006- 2 months from today. This gives plenty of time to work on your entry.
How to Enter
A new forum has been created in the �Competitions and Polls� section named �The First MiniPainters Contest � Entries�. This is the place to post your finished entry. No replies are permitted on the threads in this forum apart from by the thread starter if they want to make any changes. Please use the same thread to submit both your painted and unpainted entry photos.
Entry Discussion
The other new forum - �The First MiniPainters Contest � Discussion� is the place where you can discuss anything to do with the contest � criticisms on entries, WIP shots and anything else!
The Write Up
Keeping in the spirit of helping other painters out and such, we ask that you post some sort of write up about your piece. It may be a full guide with step by step shots, your thinking process or how you painted a particular part you are proud of.
The Judging
All entries will go to a public vote on April 2nd 2006. MiniPainters staff will also have a private vote. These votes will make up 50% of the final vote each. Voting will last for 1 week and then the final results will be announced!
The Prizes
Both Categories will have First, Second and Third placed winners. The prizes are as follows:
Painting
1st Place - $50 CMON Voucher
2nd Place - $20 CMON Voucher
3rd Place - $10 CMON Voucher
Modelling
1st Place - $50 CMON Voucher
2nd Place - $20 CMON Voucher
3rd Place - $10 CMON Voucher
Winners will also have their entries showcased on the front page of the MiniPainers.com website once it has launched.
