Thank You Artists

I am new to this site and I understand it is the place to be for miniature painting. I wanted to say hello and thank you!

Little about me: I started painting in 1991 when I was 14 and continued till I was about 17. I used to go to a local hobby shop on the weekends and saw only 1 or 2 painters working. I used to have close friend who was talented and we painted together for a few years in my parents basement. Unfortunately he died very young and I lost friend and painting partner in crime. School and Life caught up with me and I was never able to have/make the time to continue painting. Now I have that time and I am excited to start painting again.

I amazed at the growth of this hobby/art. I am also blown away at the level of development, techniques, and the incredible basing I have seen. You are all doing wonderful work.

I wanted to say "Thank You" to all the Artists here for inspiring me to get back into this wonderful hobby and look forward in sharing my work with you all.

Granddad!
Welcome Mr D,

Glad to be of service, and thank you, with out you "new" guys coming along I doubt we'd be challenged enough to inspire you (if that makes sense)

cheers
Mick

and Liz doesn't bite.... they are just tiny little nibbles, on your ear lobes, you'd hardly notice them

God! You guys are making me sound like a zombie!

Welcome! I don't bite unless you ask me to. But Roger's right. I can crush every bone in your body. But I do it by accident most of the time. I get a bit.......enthusiastic.

Rather than starting a new thread to say hello, I thought I would say hi here too, I was recommended your site by a regular mini artist that comes into my shop and I thought I would get myself acquainted too.

As its getting to the point that I want to develop my skills further and start my GD UK models ( I can only enter the open competition though...damn rules) and want to get wider feedback and constructive criticism so I can get my way to the finals.

Thanks for have a forum to join as well

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! One and all! Sit down and take a load off. Critiques, advice, and general thrashing are free (and mostly given in good spirit). So welcome to the Madhouse, and remember to thin your paints, clean all your mold lines, drill the barrels, and post pictures!

look whos talking.....
