The checkers on the armour are only painted with white/black and many water and a very small brush.
Use the technik like you will paint a aquarel picture, many water and over that the same color but with not so many water like in step one and so you go on.
I hope I explain that rigth my english and the rest is not so great, and sorry for the long waiting time.
