Heres my Techpriest. I wanted him to be different so I decided not to do the traditional Red.

Hi Aldramelech, nice looking figure. Couple of things though :D

If you can paint the blue lamps & the metal work, and the nice grey handles on the staff & the green cables, oh & the face, so well... why does he have straight layer highlighting on the green cloth bits? It looks odd.

Your static grass looks a bit flat. I'm slowly learning to loath the stuff, I'm not sure if mastery of it is even on the horizon :D I read that people drybrush a little highlight onto it so tried to put some yellow on my last base. I think all I achieved was removing loads of strands & getting them stuck in the brush!

Suggestion: A blob more thin superglue - scatter grass - turn mini upside down - tap base firmly - turn upright - blow gently up toward his knees from below, all around, to stand more strands up - leave to dry - brush out all little strands from his armpits, etc :D

Cheers, B.

Fixed that..... I think! lol I tried to crop down as much background as poss and replace the pictures as per advice. But it seems that the old picture rears its ugly head at random????? Bloody Photobucket, Computers, cameras...... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY lol

If I explain a bit about myself it might explain the inconsistency's in the paint work a little.

About 7 years ago I had a bit of a crisis in my personal life and together with other things I made the decision to leave the hobby totally. I sold everything (12 Armies, Fantasy and Historical) and moved on.

Last January I found myself at a loss hobby wise and realized I missed wargaming lots, so here I am.

I have found that in those 7 years Ive remembered some techniques and forgotten others, so I'm trying to work my way back to my old standard.

This IG army is fairly inconsistent as Ive started to remember things as Ive gone along, and I needed an army I could put on the table as fast as poss (I wont play with unpainted figures)

Soon I'll be starting a Dwarf Army for WFB, which hopefully should be better.

:time-out::question: You wanted an army you could get painted and on the table as fast as possible, so you picked Guard?? I am working on a Guard army to compliment my Tau because I only get to play once or twice a year and I figured it would take approximately forever to complete . Of course it is possible that your sense of humour and mine are very similar, if so you carry it off better than I do.
Nice neat work, but as has been said the highlighting on the cloth is such a different style it stands out and confuses the eye. Just keep going (you should have lots of models to practice on in a Guard army) and you are bound to remember how you did it before.
